Op 3 maart 2017 verschijnt het nieuwe album Everything Is Forgotten van de band Methyl Ethel op 4AD/Beggars. Naast deze aankondiging brengt Methyl Ethel de nieuwe single Ubu naar buiten. Dit is de tweede single na het nummer No. 28 dat eind vorig jaar verscheen voorafgaand de release van Everything Is Forgotten.
Methyl Ethel is afkomstig uit Perth, Australië en bestaat uit zanger/gitarist/songwriter Jake Webb, bassist Thom Stewart, drummer Chris Wright. Jake Webb produceerde Everything is Forgotten samen met niemand minder dan producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys/Foals). Methyl Ethel speelde, na het verschijnen van hun eerste 4AD release Oh Inhuman Spectacle op 1 mei 2015, onder andere op Metropolis Festival en Into The Great Wide Open.
