Seal brengt op 6 november dit jaar zijn nieuwe album 7 uit. De singles Do You Ever en Every Time I’m With You zijn al digitaal beschikbaar.
Voor zijn alweer negende studioalbum is Seal de studio ingedoken met zijn vaste producer Trevor Horn. Na het opnemen van zijn met platina onderscheiden debuutalbum Seal en de daarop volgende successen als Seal II, Human Being, Seal IV en Soul 2 blijkt de samenwerking tussen Seal en Horn een succesvolle formule.
Op 7 behandeld Seal de liefde en al haar eigenaardigheden als centraal thema. Vanaf het moment dat de zanger wist dat hij zijn nieuwe album over liefdesperikelen wilde laten gaan, is hij begin 2013 begonnen met het schrijven van 7. Seal vertelt: “The album concerns the most sung about, most talked about, and most documented emotion – love. I tried to capture all of the wonderfully different dynamics of love, whether it’s the anger, the acceptance, the bliss, the sadness, the elation, or the recklessness. It’s this emotion and the ways it makes us feel. It’s about the extreme joy and the extreme regret as well as all of the crazy things love makes us do.”
