Na ruim 15 jaar furore te hebben gemaakt met The Strokes, heeft bassist Nikolai Fraiture besloten om weer eens bij het begin te beginnen en dat doet hij met zijn nieuwe band: Summer Moon. De debuutplaat With You Tonight wordt 24 februari uitgebracht via Membran en in de Benelux gedistribueerd door Suburban Records. Bekijk hieronder de single Happenin’.
Summer Moon is een collectie aan muzikanten die al lang hun strepen hebben verdiend, want naast Nikolai spelen ook Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction) en leden van onder andere Uh Huh Her en The Airborne Toxic Event in de band.
Door de mix van laidback instrumentatie en de lijzige zang van Nikolai Fraiture, hoor je snel post-punk bands als The Cure en Joy Division terug, maar door de stuk modernere productie heeft het toch een geheel eigen smoel.
