BillyBio (Biohazard) + Cutthroat LA naar Baroeg en Q-Factory

Biohazard deed in 1990 voor het eerst Nederland aan en gelijk werd elke zaal plat gespeeld. Drie jaar later bracht de band tijdens Dynamo Open Air met een reusachtige pit een aardbeving teweeg waarmee de Europese zegetocht werd bekroond. Zanger-gitarist Billy Graziadei lijkt de eeuwige jeugd te hebben, want hij blijft één brok energie. Ook bij zijn soloproject BillyBio spuwt hij vuur en vlam. Het in november verschenen album Feed The Fire is breed opgezet en gaat van knallende core naar punk-singalongs die soms neigen naar Blood For Blood, waarvan Billy in 2010 tijdelijk deel uitmaakte. Als kers op de hardcore-taart staan er nog enkele Biohazard-krakers op de setlist. Yep, that’s How It Is.

Cutthroat LA weet ook dondersgoed waar Abraham de moshtaart haalt. Afgelopen zomer trok de band zowat scheuren in het Baroeg beton tijdens het tiende Live Hard Or Die Fest. Het viertal bestaat uit zwaargewichten van de Californische scene, met een verleden in bands als Blood Stands Still, Murder Death Kill en Downset. Al hun stijlen komen samen in het bandgeluid, van hardcore hiphop tot thrash en beatdown met het mes op de keel.

Tusky kondigt nieuwe EP Love Love Love aan voor 2 mei 2019

2019, let’s go! Tusky komt binnenkort met nieuwe muziek op de ‘Love Love Love EP’. Vijf nieuwe songs, waarvan er vier gewijd zijn aan de liefde… en eentje aan haat, pure haat. Want balans, dat moet er wezen. Samen met de albumaankondiging is vandaag de release van hun nieuwe single en video Mormor. Love Love Love verschijnt op 2 mei via V2 Records, waarna de band ook weer op tour zal gaan in support van de EP.

“We namen de EP op rondom kerst en we dachten: “Fuck it, de wereld kan wel wat liefde gebruiken.” Daarnaast wordt er weer een Woodstock georganiseerd dit jaar en we wilden absoluut geen zomer vol liefde mislopen. Aangezien het goede niet zonder het slechte bestaat schreven we ook een liedje over haat, want boos, dat zijn ook wij zo nu en dan.”

2018 was voor Tusky fantastisch! Met shows op Noorderslag, Zwarte Cross, Sniester, Jera on Air, Madnes en nog een stuk of 20 festivals. Twee clubtours met een paar uitverkochte shows en een rondje van 6000 kilometer door heel Europa met ‘best buds’ Black Peaks.

De band bestaat nog altijd uit Alfred van Luttikhuizen, Sjors Bompa, Bas Allein Richir en Crucial Chris. Ze hebben het nog steeds gezellig. Het recept is onveranderd, maar toch anders. Medio april gaat Tusky weer op pad langs de clubs en festivals. De ‘Love Love Love Tour’ start begin mei.

The Living End kondigt nieuw album en tour aan

The Living EndThey say good things come in threes. Well today The Living End fans have been rewarded with a massive triple announcement. Hot on the heels of electric new single Don’t Lose It, the band are now ready to announce the name and release date for their new album, plus details of a national headline tour for November.

Recorded over a six week period in Berlin during an inspired recording session with producer Tobias Kuhn, The Living End’s eighth studio album Wunderbar will see a worldwide release through BMG on September 28. The album will be available to buy on vinyl, digital and CD formats. The CD version includes a bonus DVD featuring an hour-long live performance recorded in Berlin plus a documentary about the recording of the album. This will be limited to the first 10,000 copies sold worldwide and is available to pre-order now.

Wunderbar came together faster than any other The Living End album before and is one of the most raw, conscious, and politically vital records of their career. Sound wise – Wunderbar isn’t a foray into electronic music or soft rock crooning. It’s what The Living End are known for. It’s what they’re good at. It’s what they love. Frontman Chris Cheney explains further.

Come November, The Living End will take this mantra direct to theatres across the country. The Wunderbar Tour will see Chris, Scott and Andy make a triumphant return to the national stage and place the boys back in their natural habitat.
