Iets ten noorden van Seattle woont Karl Blau, die al zo’n 20 jaar platen maakt, maar die nog nooit in Europa werden gedistribueerd. Totdat Bella Union in 2015 het album Introducing Karl Blau uitbracht.
17 november komt Karl Blaus nieuwe plaat Out Her Space uit. Een album vol met invloeden van soul, funk, jazz en afropop. Of zoals het blog Secretly Important zo mooi verwoordt: “He manages to find what’s unique about a genre and throws it against the wall like a fist full of wet noodles; over and over, until what’s stuck is a unique genre amalgam.” Check alvast de eerste single Slow Children.
