Op 19 april brengt Kristian Matsson, beter bekend als The Tallest Man On Earth, zijn nieuwe album I Love You. It’s A Fever Dream. uit. Zijn eerste album in vier jaar is vandaag voorafgegaan door de eerste single I’m A Stranger Now. Naar aanleiding van I Love You. It’s A Fever Dream. gaat hij op een wereldtournee die hem op 31 oktober naar TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht brengt.
Over I Love You. It’s A Fever Dream. zegt Matsson: ‘Making the album, I was thinking a lot about the lenses we view our lives through. For some reason, our worst tendencies seem to be carried out so loudly, while our best can go unnoticed. I’ve come to realize that some of the most powerful, most inspiring moments in my life have been the most subtle and that so often the thing that deserves my attention, is trying the least to get it.’
Geboren in in Dalarna in Zweden bracht Mattson in 2008 zijn debuut Shallow Grave uit, dat werd gevolgd door The Wild Hunt (2010), There’s No Leaving Now (2012) en The Dark Bird is Home (2015). Verleden jaar verscheen de EP When The Bird Sees Solid Ground en stond hij op Motel Mozaïque en gaf uitverkochte concerten in de Stadschouwburg in Groningen, de Rotterdamse Schouwburg en De Duif in Amsterdam.
