Het opwindende L’objectif uit Leeds brengt hun gloednieuwe single (en video) uit genaamd ‘Same Thing’. L’objectif zijn klasgenoten Saul Kane (zang, gitaar) en Louis Bullock (drums) – die op 12-jarige leeftijd voor het eerst een band vormden – Ezra Glennon (bas) en Dan Richardson (gitaar). ‘Same Thing’ laat een nieuwe, robuuste kant zien van L’objectif. De jonge vrienden – geen van allen ouder dan 18 jaar – hebben een gedeelde liefde voor jazz, funk, hiphop, punk, postpunk, en bijna alles daartussenin. De band krijgt in de UK al veel support van o.a. The Sunday Times (Breaking Act), The Observer (as a One to watch), BBC Radio 1 Next Wave, NME First On en diverse radio dj’s.

L’objectif – Drive In Mind
L’objectif uit Leeds heeft hun eerste single uitgebracht genaamd “Drive in Mind”. Ook zijn ze de nieuwste aanwinst van het label Chess Club Records. L’objectif bestaat uit vrienden Saul Kane (vocals, gitaar), Louis Bullock (drums), Ezra Glennon (bass) en Dan Richardson (gitaar).
Saul over de single:
“I started thinking about drive-in cinemas and those massive screens that they have with everyone parked watching the events of the film unfold. The idea of people coming to watch the contents of someone’s mind was interesting to me, the thoughts, anxieties and all the things you don’t want people to see exposed on a big screen. The lyrics are statements, ideas and observations that I was thinking around the time I wrote it, a cluster of thoughts exposed and amplified through song.”
