Drie nieuwe Penguin Artists op het podium van De Zwarte Ruiter op de Grote Markt in Den Haag. Zoals je van ons gewend bent, hebben we weer een leuke selectie gemaakt van drie totaal verschillende acts.
Zorg dus dat je erbij bent, vanaf 20:30 uur ‘s avonds tot de late uurtjes. De entree is zoals altijd gratis en neem je handen mee want er moet geclapt worden! De winnaar van de avond krijgt zoals het hoort een plekje op Pinguin Radio Showcases tijdens ESNS.

20:30 Maya Weber
Maya Weber is a twenty years old, Rotterdam-based artist. She finds her passion in writing, playing, and producing music. Maya grows inspiration from relatable situations she experiences as young adult. With her first single “Nachtclub” out, Maya is excited to release her second single “Enlarged pupil eyes”. “Enlarged pupil eyes” exhibit the feelings of excitement and euphoria when meeting someone new in a party setting. In her songs she likes to experiment with different synths, guitar riffs, and drum patterns to deliver an exact expression of how she feels. “When I make music, I find myself in a world I never want to leave”.
21:30 Plumeau
This three headed band from Amsterdam is similar to Cerberus but with way more hair and a lot more fluffy! As dusty as your mouth full of sand and as dry as your mouth after a couple of beers, thirsty! With a quirky combination of funky bass lines, tight drums and outer space guitar sounds this band pours a spectrum of songs into their own sound.
22:30 Color Bones
COLOR BONES is een indierock trio met Mo Assem op gitaar en vocals, Sjaak van Dam op drums, en Martijn Engels op bas. Het creatieve proces voltrekt zich in een oude bunker in Utrecht. In 2018 zag het eerste album genaamd Vermillion het licht. Het tweede album, Ultramarine, kwam in 2021 uit. In september 2023 is het derde album, genaamd Cadmium, uitgekomen. De eerste single van dit album, Borders, werd goed ontvangen met airplay op KinkFM en opname in playlists gecureerd door Spotify. COLOR BONES wordt beïnvloed door Radiohead, Balthazar, Spoon en dEUS, maar haalt ook inspiratie uit skate-cultuur, improvisatie met hangdrums en synthesizers, visuele media, animatiefilms en filosofie. Altijd gepaard met mokken koffie, zwart als de mensheid zelf.
