Ook dit jaar zijn er uitzonderlijk veel lange tracks gekozen en bleek dat uren tekort kwamen om alles te kunnen draaien. We hebben daarom helaas en met pijn in het muziekhart moeten kiezen om diverse liedjes niet uit te zenden en deze direct in de Pinguin-podcast (zie onderaan de pagina) te zetten. Het zijn uitsluitend dalende tracks en maximaal één per uitvoerende én tot plekje 1000 in de lijst (na vandaag dus niet meer). Ze zijn terug te vinden in de lijst met de toevoeging Podcast en per dag staat de desbetreffende podcast in de dagelijkse urenindeling.

ESNS 2021 bevestigt laatste 31 namen en maakt line-up compleet

De line-up van ESNS 2021 is compleet met de bevestiging van een eenendertig nieuwe namen. Daarmee zijn in totaal 188 uit 36 landen bevestigd voor de aankomende editie van ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), dat plaatsvindt van 13 – 16 januari 2021.

Onder de bevestigingen een groot aantal acts uit Nederland; Abbey, Blackbird, Fleur, Gino-Cochise, Hang Youth, Jay-Way, KA, MICH, Opera Alaska, Pieter de Graaf, Queen’s Pleasure, Sam & Julia, Spill Gold, Temple Fang, Yade Lauren en Yssi SB. En ook negen acts van de Hit The North selectie, afkomstig uit de drie Noordelijke provincies; Cashmyra, Delore, Isa Zwart, Moonradio, Same Old, Seewolf, The Desmonds, The Resurrection en The Vices. Laatstgenoemde was al eerder bevestigd voor het ESNS-programma, nu ook voor Hit the North.

Ook bevestigd voor ESNS 2021; Ätna (de), Holly Humberstone (gb), Lucia (ro), M¥ss Keta (it), nemanja (hr), Sofiane Pamart (fr) en Steiner & Madlaina (ch).

ESNS 2021 DIGITAAL
Het showcasefestival wordt voor het eerst volledig digitaal. In samenwerking met NPO 3FM, dat eerder al een digitale editie van Lowlands verzorgde, worden de sets gratis gestreamd via het online platform; 3fm.nl/ESNS. Daarnaast is er ruime aandacht voor ESNS op Europese radiozenders, verenigd in de EBU en op televisie via NPO 3. Zodoende blijft ook online de missie van ESNS gewaarborgd: het promoten en circuleren van nieuwe Europese muziek, met de nadruk op opkomend Europees talent, dat een groot podium krijgt op Eurosonic en de Music Moves Europe Talent Awards ceremonie op vrijdag, terwijl Nederlands talent op zaterdag centraal staat; waar Noorderslag de traditionele barometer van de Nederlandse popmuziek presenteert.

TOEGANG TOT FESTIVAL EN CONFERENTIE REGISTRATIES
Het showcase gedeelte van het festival is volledig gratis. Het wordt aanbevolen om via esns.nl/tickets voor het festival platform te registreren om updates te krijgen over het platform en nieuwe aankondigingen.

Op het digitale platform van de conferentie zijn er paneldiscussies, keynotes en sessies te volgen en biedt mogelijkheden tot speed meetings, netwerken en toegang tot de delegates database.

De conferentie staat in het teken van ‘The Road to Recovery’ en een deel van het programma is eerder bekendgemaakt. Registreren voor de ESNS-conferentie kost € 50, -, ook verkrijgbaar via esns.nl/tickets.

Bluestown Music is een gloednieuwe website voor de liefhebber van alle soorten blues; modern en oud – maar ook met rock, roots en americana.

En daar houden pinguïns wel van. Daarom vanaf nu elke dinsdagavond van 23:00 tot 00:00 uur een uurtje Bluestown Music Radio op Pinguin Radio. Het uur wordt samengesteld door Mr. Blues Himself, Harry Radstake. Oprichter en coördinator van bluestownmusic.nl.

Pinguin Radio presenteert om 22:00 uur Heaven Radio #248

Pinguin Radio en Popmagazine Heaven delen twee belangrijke eigenschappen: een passie voor goede muziek en een volstrekt onafhankelijke opstelling. Dat moest natuurlijk tot een samenwerking leiden.

Heaven verzorgt iedere dinsdagavond van 22:00 tot 23:00 een uur lang de muziek op Pinguin Radio. Net als Pinguin heeft Heaven oor voor – bijna – alle popmuziek. In het uurtje radio hoor je muziek uit verschillende genres: (classic)rock, roots, folk, soul, world, jazz en blues.

Dansende Beren is een Belgische muzieksite. Populair en met smaak.  Geen specifieke voorkeur voor een bepaald genre, maar muziek waar zelfs beren op dansen, en zoals we allemaal weten hebben beren geen specifieke voorkeur.
