Lekker muziek maken in je kelder.. Of knallen op een vette stage?
Dromen van mooie optredens en dikke applauzen. Vrienden worden fans. Terwijl je crowdsurfend door het publiek gedragen wordt stromen de contracten binnen… JWZ! Alles begint bij het laten horen van je muziek aan het echte publiek. En als het publiek je te gek vindt en je gaat volgen zijn de eerste stappen gemaakt.
Het Q&A festival op 2 Oktober is zo’n eerste stap
tussen 12:00 en 18:00 uur vindt dit “plug & play” festival plaats in het bruisende muziek hart van Amsterdam: De Q-factory! Je hoeft alleen je gitaar, Keys, bekkens en klopper mee te nemen, inpluggen in de complete backline die er staat, en in een half uur je beste set spelen. Of je leven ervan afhangt. Er zijn 10 stages, er zullen rond de 60 bands spelen. Het is in de kelder van de q-factory. De ruime oefenruimtes zijn omgetoverd tot stages.
Publiek: fans, vrienden, familie en “muziek-professionals”!
Elke band mag (moet) 10 mensen meenemen. Doe dat want dan weet je zeker dat er enthousiaste mensen vooraan staan. Natuurlijk gaat elke band zijn publiek delen met andere bands. Jouw fans zullen ook staan te kijken bij andere bands en vice versa. Er zijn dus ook heel veel collega muzikanten die je kunt horen, zien en ruiken. Ideaal voor het werken aan je netwerk.
Er zijn ook Pro’s. Boekers, managers en organisatoren van festivals en evenementen. Het zal je gebeuren dat er een festival naar je toe komt dat je wil “hebben”!!
Workshops en netwerkmogelijkheden
Het festival speelt zich af in de kelder. In de foyer en nog andere zalen is er de mogelijkheid om te netwerken en workshops te beleven. Musicmaker zal daar zorg voor dragen. In de foyer is er ruimte om rustig te meeten met bookers managers en festivals om te kijken of je samen tot iets kunt komen.

You’re dreaming of beautiful shows and standing ovations. Friends who become fans. Being carried by the crowd while crowd surfing, contracts rolling in… You know, that rock star life!
Everything starts with playing your music for a real audience. And if the public thinks you’re awesome and starts to follow you, the first steps have been made.
The Q&A festival is such a first step
On October 2nd from 12:00 until 18:00 this “plug & play” festival takes place in the bustling music heart of Amsterdam: The Q-factory! The only thing you need to bring are your guitar, keys, cymbals and beater. Plug in the backline (which is completely present), and play your best set in half an hour. Like your life depends on it. There are 10 stages, and there will be around 60 bands playing. It’s in the basement of The Q factory. The spacious practice rooms are transformed into stages.
Audience: fans, friends, family and “music professionals”!
Each band can (must) bring ten people. When you do so, you know that there are enthusiastic people in the front row for sure. As you can imagine, every band will share its audience. Your fans check out the other bands as well and vice versa. So there are also a lot of fellow musicians you can hear, see and smell. It’s a great opportunity to widen your network.
There will be pros too! Bookers, managers and organizers of festivals and events. And who knows, maybe someone offers you a cool spot at their next festival.
Workshops and networking opportunities
The festival takes place in the basement. In the foyer and other rooms, there is the possibility to network and experience workshops. Musicmaker will take care of that. In the foyer, there is room to meet quietly with bookers, managers and festivals to see if you can mean something for eachother.
