Dutch new wave act Cymbaline have released their debut album ‘Computerleven’ on German record label Young & Cold Records today.
The album features seven songs full of rolling sequencers and dark synthesizers, reverb-drenched drum computers and lo-fi vocals.
With their music, Cymbaline draws heavily on the krautrock and new wave of the late ‘70s-early ‘80s, taking cues from bands like Joy Division, Kraftwerk, and Grauzone. Dark and recalcitrant music, with an ever-present touch of melancholy.
‘Computerleven’ was recorded by Cymbaline and Moreno Hogervorst. It was mixed by Moreno Hogervorst. and mastered by Daniel Hallhuber at Young & Cold records. Artwork was done by Jorgen Koolwijk.
Vinyl production has unfortunately been delayed and is now scheduled for December 2022.
