CHAOS is net zo eigenwijs als de muziek die we bespreken. We hebben muziek graag rauw, buiten de lijntjes en eigenwijs. Bij ons hoor je vooral alternatieve, postpunk, singer-songwriters en indie. Wekelijks laat redacteur Evelyne Gorter je een selectie muziek horen waar wij warm voor lopen.

Pinguin Radio presenteert om 22:00 uur Heaven Radio #377

Pinguin Radio en Popmagazine Heaven delen twee belangrijke eigenschappen: een passie voor goede muziek en een volstrekt onafhankelijke opstelling. Dat moest natuurlijk tot een samenwerking leiden.

Heaven verzorgt iedere dinsdagavond van 22:00 tot 23:00 een uur lang de muziek op Pinguin Radio. Net als Pinguin heeft Heaven oor voor – bijna – alle popmuziek. In het uurtje radio hoor je muziek uit verschillende genres: (classic)rock, roots, folk, soul, world, jazz en blues.

Liefhebbers van Heaven Radio luisteren natuurlijk ook naar ons zachtere zusje Pinguin Pluche.

bar italia – Changer

Changer is single #3 die we op de playlist hebben van bar italia. De tweede IJsbreker, maar misschien wel de beste tot dusver. Nurse! stond eerder hoog in de Graadmeter. Het shoegaze-achtige Changer nu op -1! Changer heeft dezelfde spannende vibe, maar is nog meer een liedje met een lekker knarsend einde. Het album Tracey Denim van dit veelbelovende trio uit Londen is nu uit, op kwaliteitslabel Matador. In november is bar italia in ons land; de 23e in Rotown Rotterdam en de 24e in Bitterzoet Amsterdam.
