Vanavond om 20:00 XL90 #34 met Melson Zwerver

In XL90 vliegt Melson Zwerver elke week in sneltreinvaart door de muziekgeschiedenis. Van de jaren 50 tot vandaag draait hij de muziek op chronologische volgorde, en doet daarbij zoveel mogelijk genres en landen aan. Reacties en verzoekjes zijn altijd welkom via radio@melson.nl

Een bijzonder gevarieerde show deze week in XL90, met tropische klanken uit Colombia, funk uit Turkije, new wave uit Duitsland, ‘cumbia pop’ uit Peru en als afsluiter een samenwerking tussen België en Marokko. Verder vieren we de 37e verjaardag van Nirvana’s debuutalbum ‘Bleach’ met twee covers en een albumtrack.

Dinsdagavond om 22:00 uur Heaven Radio #531

Pinguin Radio en Popmagazine Heaven delen twee belangrijke eigenschappen: een passie voor goede muziek en een volstrekt onafhankelijke opstelling. Dat moest natuurlijk tot een samenwerking leiden.

Heaven verzorgt iedere dinsdagavond van 22:00 tot 23:00 een uur lang de muziek op Pinguin Radio. Net als Pinguin heeft Heaven oor voor – bijna – alle popmuziek. In het uurtje radio hoor je muziek uit verschillende genres: (classic)rock, roots, folk, soul, world, jazz en blues.

Liefhebbers van Heaven Radio luisteren natuurlijk ook naar ons zachtere zusje Pinguin Pluche.

Popwarmer: Banji – In Motion

Vier jaar na hun debuut ‘Freshcakes’ is Banji, ooit het meest veelbelovende indiepop-kwartet van Nederland, terug! De nieuwe single ‘IN MOTION’ behandelt de verstikkende druk van een snelle wereld. Het is een overgang van paniek naar kracht: je eigen ritme kiezen in plaats van mee te doen aan de ratrace. Na optredens op podia als ESNS en Down The Rabbit Hole, en als supportact voor Vampire Weekend, is deze comeback een voorbode van het album ‘CAREFREE’ dat in 2027 verschijnt.

Op 5 juni staat Banji in Paradiso als support van Hiqpy.

Tender #168 zondagmorgen van 10:00 tot 12:00

Zondagochtend van 10 tot 12 ga je in chillmodus met Tender. Rick Hovens presenteert indiefolk, singer/songwriters, anderstalige indie en meer rustgevende muziek voor bij je croissant, cappuccino of brunch. Luisteren dus naar Tender!
