Our guitarist came up with this heavy groovy riff and our drummer embellished it with these cool triplet fills. A week later our lead singer arrived with correspondingly tough lyrics about suicidal thoughts and the Billie Eilish-inspired title “End Me”. We want to raise awareness of signs of suicidal ideation. So that people with such problems are not overlooked and get the help they need. The single will be released with a music video on YouTube:

On Angeldust, we hear the story of two people that are going down spirals of codependency and destructive behaviour. Influenced by acts like Arcade Fire and The War On Drugs, The Stone Souls broaden their eclectic sound while maintaining their characteristic twang and slide guitars, making Angeldust dangerously addictive.
Angeldust marks a transition in sound for The Stone Souls. While the darkness of the EP Splinter is still clearly audible in the lyrics of the song, it also opens the door to the surfing summer EP Riptide. With both EPs releasing this year, Angeldust is the first wave of the tsunami of new music that will hit in 2024.
Het gitaartrio KrachtStroom uit Amsterdam speelt altijd met stijlen als punk, stonerrock en grunge. Zo ook op haar derde EP âKeerzijdeâ, waar zanger/gitarist Lex Coppoolse zeker ook zijn punkinvloeden in de teksten stopt. De eerste single âOns Zwijgenâ die de band eind november uitbracht schetste al het beeld van de dystopische wereld die voor ons ligt. En in de tweede single âHet is te laatâ, die de band nu samen met de EP uitbrengt, wordt het succes van het patriarchaat bevraagd. Bij de single is een lyric video gemaakt waarin door AI gegeneerde beelden de teksten kracht bijzetten.
Voor deze opname ging KrachtStroom een samenwerking aan met Steven van der Werff van Studio Mono, die eerder werkte met onder meer Hang Youth, The Covids, Ploegendienst en MICH.
Op vrijdag 15 maart presenteert KrachtStroom haar EP in Volta in Amsterdam.
KrachtStroom is een Amsterdams powertrio dat naast zanger en gitarist Lex Coppoolse bestaat uit bassist Paul van den Heuvel en drummer Marnix Timman. De band speelt Nederlandstalige garagerock met stoner- en punkinvloeden, maar grunge is ook nooit ver weg. De leden van KrachtStroom vinden elkaar in het feit dat ze lekker willen rocken maar niet altijd rechttoe-rechtaan. De band vindt originele invalshoeken in ritmes, akkoorden en teksten. En dat allemaal in het Nederlands, de taal die het dichtst bij zanger en gitarist Lex Coppoolse staat. De songschrijver rapte in het verleden Nederlandstalig in een cross-over gezelschap en speelde vervolgens in een Engelstalige rockband. Maar hij vindt het beste van alle werelden plus een gezonde dosis garagerock in KrachtStroom.
In 2020 verscheen debuut-EP ‘Gemengde Gevoelens’ en in 2022 volgde de EP ‘Meer Gemengde Gevoelens’.
De EP wordt in eigen beheer uitgebracht op Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, Tidal en bijna alle andere muziekdiensten.
Unadjusted is the latest single from the Groningen duo Voltanz. Met zijn debuut-EP âThe Art Of Being Youngâ geeft talentvolle muzikant Robin Storm een ongefilterd inkijkje in de emoties die komen kijken bij het opgroeien. Van zijn 15e tot 25e schreef Robin Storm heel veel liedjes. Een selectie van deze liedjes vormt âThe Art Of Being Youngâ: een muzikaal verhaal waarmee de kwetsbaarheid van tieners/jongvolwassenen wordt gevierd. âThe Art Of Being Youngâ is vanaf nu overal te beluisteren! Om de release te vieren gaf Robin Storm op 8 februari samen met zijn band een concert in BIRD, Rotterdam.
Zolang hij zich kan herinneren heeft Robin Storm al passie voor muziek. Hij studeerde af als drummer aan het Rijn IJssel college in Arnhem. Maar de muzikale reis van de 25-jarige muzikant begon pas echt toen hij zelf liedjes ging schrijven en uitvoeren. Zijn track âDuly Loveâ, die ook op de EP staat, is inmiddels meer dan 9,5 miljoen (!) keer gestreamd op Spotify. En nadat Robin Storms meest recente liedje âLet Me Be Your Manâ de Maxplaat op NPO Radio 5 werd, is het nu tijd voor de release van zijn bijzondere debuut-EP.
In zijn liedjes zingt Robin Storm op prachtige en openhartige wijze over de worstelingen en triomfen van een ingewikkeld doch prachtig tijdperk uit zijn leven. Zijn track ‘Nothing On You’ gaat bijvoorbeeld over zelfontdekking en persoonlijke groei. De avond voor de release, op 8 februari, organiseerde Robin Storm samen met zijn band een uniek concert in BIRD Rotterdam, waar hij zijn EP op spectaculaire wijze heeft gepresenteerd.
Dizzy Panda, a independent producer duo hailing from Haarlem, the Netherlands, has joined forces with the eclectic indie rock band, The Perics, bridging the gap between the UK and the Netherlands. Bonded by their shared admiration for the legendary band Eels, this has blossomed into a fun and exciting collaboration project.
It all began with an initial demo crafted by Dizzy Panda, “Mad Maggie” about the crew of the Flying Dutchmen. The Perics (Matt Warren & Gideau ‘Gee’ Nielssen) breathed life into the project. The magic was undeniable, prompting the decision to elevate this collaboration to – a full-fledged album. The album is now ready for launch with 12 tracks and a release date set on March 8th. The girl band Younique (who featured in The Voice Holland) also feature in one of the tracks.
PENTAPOLIS
The album is titled “Pentapolis”. The title itself draws inspiration from the concept of Pentapolis, a grouping of five cities. This metaphor resonates deeply as we crafted this album without ever setting foot in a physical studio together.
The concept of Pentapolis finds its roots in the lesser-known play by William Shakespeare, “Pericles, Prince of Tyre.” In this timeless tale, Prince Pericles embarks on a courageous and adventurous journey, facing shipwrecks, encounters with pirates, and the loss of loved ones. Pericles was a Greek politician and general during the Golden age of Ancient Greece. Pericles’ most visible legacy can be found in the literary and artistic works of the Golden Age, much of which survive to this day.
The tracks on the album “Pentapolis” draw inspiration from Pericles’ odyssey. The music reflects the diverse influences of both bands, spanning across genres from rock and jazz to pop and funk.

Dizzy Panda are Mike & Mool. A masked DIY duo from Haarlem (NL). Their biggest succes so far is to have 2 songs in the snob2000 (edition 2023), one in a collab with the Dutch band Chabliz. They love to work with all kind of artists and genres and have released 4 albums so far (lounge, triphop, funk, jazz).
The Perics are a brit pop band from Liverpool (UK) by Matt Warren and Gee Nelson (Giedeau Nelissen). The Perics try to focus on great melodies and donât care that much in which genre. It varies from rock to power pop to pop rock to singer songwriter to grunge to synth punk pop.
In a captivating blend of catchy indie rock, and nostalgic post-hardcore, No Wake delivers their debut banger of a single. This track will make you go from dancing on a chair in your living room to throwing the chair over-head at the wall, as they make you reflect on the rise, addiction, and demise of a toxic relationship. There is much more to come with a sonically rich full-length album containing 3 music videos. The band plans on touring the summer/fall/winter of 2024 as they bring the live energy you’ve been craving. The track is out now on all streaming platforms, including Spotify.
