The Boheme – Always out at Midnight

Als je originaliteit belangrijk vind is The Boheme(s)* niks voor jou. Maar, als je houdt van vonkende powerpop naar Brits model, van blufgozertjes die zich geen reet aantrekken wat jij van ze vindt dan ben je bij deze boys uit het Haagse** aan het juiste adres.

The Boheme(s) startten in 2020, maar kwam toen niet van de grond want Corona. Een jaar geleden maakten ze een doorstart met twee aardige singles. Als je die vergelijkt met het fonkelnieuwe Always Out At Midnight lijkt het wel alsof je een andere band hoort***. The Boheme(s) lijken zich dus in razend tempo te ontwikkelen en voedt daarmee het vermoeden dat er inderdaad iets in het Haagse drinkwater zit waardoor bands uit die regio een streepje voor hebben op die uit de rest van het land.

* Tot voor kort heette de band The Bohemes, zo staan ze ook nog op Spotify.

**Feitelijk komen de Huisman broertjes uit Rijswijk, maar dat zit aan Den Haag vast dus…

The Boheme launch new single

Danceable rock with a British sound – that’s Always Out At Midnight, the brand-new single by The Boheme, out on May 23. The track was mixed by Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Sam Fender), one of the UK’s leading mixers and producers.

A British twist
“To match the sound we had in mind, we decided to have the track mixed in England. We looked for producers who had worked with our favorite artists – and that’s how we found Barny Barnicott. Barny added exactly the right British twist to our music.”
The track was then mastered by Tim Debney (The Libertines, Kasabian, Fratellis).

About Always Out At Midnight
Always Out At Midnight tells the tragicomic story of a lonely werewolf – always on the move, always searching for connection, but never truly welcome. A reflection of our increasingly individualistic society.
Who are The Boheme?
The Boheme is the four-piece band made up of brothers Gabriël (drums) and Léon Huisman (vocals, guitar), along with Nigel de Vette (guitar) and Dex de Fijter (bass).

Their sound is raw and reckless, but never without direction – drawing inspiration from The Jam, The Libertines, and Arctic Monkeys, yet always with a distinctive twist and undeniable sense of urgency.
Always Out At Midnight will be available on all streaming platforms on May 23.
