Kaminski signs with AudioSport Records

On September 16th Kaminski’s debut album My Diary Lied will be released via AudioSport Records, Leeuwarden. ‘A dark and personal manifesto, with an urgency that needs to be heard,’ the label explains. ‘As a label, we focus on the Frisian indie and rock scene and we have a weakness for music that is heartfelt and honest. Kaminski fits right in here’.

The 10-track album was recorded during the corona lockdown in Kaminski’s garage. In the safety of his quarantine, fanning out old photographs, searching for the meaning of childhood anxiety dreams, and exploring perpetual inhibitions that had been characterizing him for years, a clear but gloomy central theme emerged: the struggles of a child growing up in a religious cult. Musically, Kaminski navigates between indie, slowcore, and elements of prog rock.

The album My Diary Lied will be released on vinyl by AudioSport Records, and will also be available via all streaming platforms.

Sorry – Cigarette Packet

De Noord-Londense band Sorry heeft twee gloednieuwe singles ‘Cigarette Packet’ en ‘Separate’ met bijbehorende video’s (door Flasha Prod) gedeeld. Het is de eerste nieuwe muziek van Sorry sinds de release van hun sensationele debuutalbum ‘925’ van vorig jaar.

Supergroep LNZNDRF kondigt nieuw album II aan

The National en Beirut liefhebber? Zet je schrap voor het tweede album van LNZNDRF, II, dat op 29 januari 2021 uitkomt. De eerste single van II, Brace Yourself, is door de band gedeeld.

LNZNDRF zijn de broers Bryan Devendorf (drums, percussie) en Scott Devendorf (basgitaar, synths) – ook bekend als de ritmesectie van The National – naast Benjamin Lanz (The National, Beirut) op zang, gitaar, basgitaar en synths, en Aaron Arntz (Beirut, Grizzly Bear) op synths en piano.

Het album is opgenomen in uitgebreide, sjamanistische jamsessies in Austin’s Public Hi-Fi in september 2019, voel de hypnotiserende set van liedjes van LNZNDRF II, doet het je ook denken aan de West-Duitse kosmische muziekscene van de late jaren 60 en vroege jaren 70? LNZNDRF II neemt de motorik knipogen mee van hun titelloze debuut uit 2016 en drijft deze naar donkerdere dystopische landschappen die doen denken aan Joy Division of New Order. In 40:40 minuten worden op II meerdere highlights voorgeschoteld.
