Record Store Day Nederland, met de onafhankelijke platenzaak als middelpunt, breidt haar activiteiten met de Vinyl33, verder uit.

Op Pinguin Radio draaien we elke week zo veel mogelijk nieuwe releases, de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer, de klimmer van de week en uiteraard veel tracks uit de top 10.

Woensdag 29 mei gaat het Bridge Guitar Festival van start met een stortvloed aan gitaarconcerten op allerlei locaties in Eindhoven. Vijf dagen lang! Tijdens Bridge Around Town kun je tientallen concerten gratis bijwonen, onder meer van een paar bands die we hier laten horen: Matteo Mancuso, Leif de Leeuw Band en Bombino. Er zijn ook concerten waar je een kaartje voor moet kopen, onder meer Mark Lettieri die met het Metropole Orkest gaat optreden en Dinosaur Jr. Op de Bridge Guitar Convention zaterdag 1 juni kun je de hele dag masterclasses volgen en de gitaar- en basbeurs bezoeken. Woensdag om 19:00 uur Discords Radio #50

Alles draait om muziek! Dat merk je direct als je Discords.nl aan de Lange Hezelstraat 32 in Nijmegen bezoekt. Vanuit onze passie voor het ontdekken, ervaren en verzamelen van muziek, bouwen wij (Renate, Rene en Roland) een platenzaak met nieuwe en tweedehands vinyl en CD’s; met gevestigde namen en aanstormend talent; met veel moois voor muzikale omnivoren en audiofiele fijnproevers.

Pinguin Radio en Popmagazine Heaven delen twee belangrijke eigenschappen: een passie voor goede muziek en een volstrekt onafhankelijke opstelling. Dat moest natuurlijk tot een samenwerking leiden.

Heaven verzorgt iedere dinsdagavond van 22:00 tot 23:00 een uur lang de muziek op Pinguin Radio. Net als Pinguin heeft Heaven oor voor – bijna – alle popmuziek. In het uurtje radio hoor je muziek uit verschillende genres: (classic)rock, roots, folk, soul, world, jazz en blues.

Liefhebbers van Heaven Radio luisteren natuurlijk ook naar ons zachtere zusje Pinguin Pluche.

Dauwpop is hét tofste festival van Oost Nederland. Uitgegroeid tot een intiem muziekfestival met landelijke allure in de bossen van Hellendoorn. Alle Nederlandse festivalknallers staan op het tweedaags festivalprogramma. Met altijd verrassende edgy internationale acts. Grote Nederlandse namen als Goldband, Opposites, Anouk en JOOST hebben al eens op het affiche gestaan en internationale namen als The Prodigy, Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Balthazar, Nothing But Thieves, Kaiser Chiefs, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Wolfmother, Volbeat, Alanis Morisette en Madness lieten festivalbezoeker voor altijd terugkomen.
