Angeldust by The Stone Souls

On Angeldust, we hear the story of two people that are going down spirals of codependency and destructive behaviour. Influenced by acts like Arcade Fire and The War On Drugs, The Stone Souls broaden their eclectic sound while maintaining their characteristic twang and slide guitars, making Angeldust dangerously addictive.

Angeldust marks a transition in sound for The Stone Souls. While the darkness of the EP Splinter is still clearly audible in the lyrics of the song, it also opens the door to the surfing summer EP Riptide. With both EPs releasing this year, Angeldust is the first wave of the tsunami of new music that will hit in 2024.

The Stone Souls – Silence The Fear

De twee songs van de nieuwe EP van The Stone Souls die nu uit zijn laten een verfijning horen van de Americana stijl waarop de muziek van de band van Theodor Versteegen is gestoeld.

Silence The Fear komt met een desolate woestijnklank die gestalte krijgt middels een ‘high and lonesome’ slide-gitaar en gedubbelde leadzang.  Het nummer klinkt alsof Theodor het heeft geschreven toen hij een keer met autopech gestrand was in de Mojave desert wachtend op de AAA.

The Stone Souls – All I Want

We have arrived at a new chapter of the musical journey of The Stone Souls: together with their traveling companions they will make a short movie! The new single “All I Want” is the first track from “Splinter”, their upcoming Original Soundtrack EP. Big Led Zeppelin style drums, accompanied by The Stone Souls’ classic dobro slide guitar, immediately set the mood. On “All I Want” Theodor provides the vocals.

The Song
‘All I Want’ is a rocksong about trauma: breaking into a million pieces, like glass smashed on the floor. Musically influenced by both Jack White and Jimmy Page but also All Them Witches, Queens of the Stone Age and 16 Horsepower.
